Day 4: Service at ALC & Aids Camp

Dear Parents & Friends of the(crucible)
We had the blessing of sleeping in a little later today. At a later part of the day, they will also be receiving challenges that are designed to help them realised their character flaws, weakness and how to be overcomers so that they can be READY/EQUIPPED Soldiers for Christ.

We worked around ALC in the morning; cleared their grounds at the Camp, clean-up a missionary apartment, sort out sports equipment, etc so that ALC will be ready to receive the next batch of Patmos students when they open for Spring in a few weeks.

The team was also able to meet and ministers to the patients at the Aids Camp in the afternoon. They met and visited with Herman (a man who cannot walk, can only wait in bed till someone comes to take care of his waste, and hygiene; Ms Moxy, the spiritual mom of all the students, Natasha (could not speak because she is sick); Paul and many more. Our students were so blessed at the end of the day, that some of these patients were encouraging them with their faith and hope in Christ. More alive than before these HIV patients were healthy, Christ has made all the difference in their lives.

Some students shared how their world was rawked because of this encounter with the patients at the Aids Camp. They want to reach out to the sick in their own community when they return home.

Blessings.
