Hi Parents & Friends of the(crucible)
This morning we had the opportunity to try out the obstacle course again as a team not a bunch of individuals. There were more "rules" today, yet, there were also more resolve to conquer fears, to put other first, to consider the weaker ones in the team and encourage them to finish their race, to cut down 15 mins in scaling the 20ft wall at the end. What a marvelous sight, and how they can understand that when they work on accountability, work on trust, work on confronting their team mates on the "compromises" in their lives, and accept encouragement to do better, they are able to navigate their Christian walk also with friends in the faith that are willing to challenge each other, developed the out of comfort zone - passionate willing sacrifice attitude towards ministry and the lost.
There were two students that were given challenges to fulfill at the Aids Camp Outreach
- One student has to prepare a skit and teach non-drama students the skit with the attitude of reaching out to children at the Aids Camp and s.
- Another has to prepare a children outreach program, and getting their team together to do it.
I have to say they outdid their challenge. Also, Lenesha and Anisha, two teens at 13 and 14 gave their hearts to the LORD, at the Aids Camp Outreach. They live in the neighborhood and were invited to come out for the drama and worship we prepared. Pray for LeSean, he has injured this big toe while playing ball with our boys. He was resistent to hear the word or testimony. The boys just love on him and share when he is able to receive.
Ministry Hike is an awesome 5 mile hike through a certain part of downtown Nassau. They were given the challenge to pray, encourage and reach out to anyone God put in their path as they felt led to. Including works of service, evangelism, encouragement etc. Broken into groups of three, with their overseeing leaders, they were able to engage one-on-one, or three-on-one with the people they met. One of the teams, shared that they help two Bahamians to wash a few cars at a Car Wash Place offering an act of service, encouragement and prayer. Share the gospel with a fruit seller who could had died 5 times from living a reckless life, gangs and etc. Countless of folks were prayed for, loved on, and ministry happens both ways, we were also at the receiving end.
Blessings
